This is the government's mental health centre, the treatment is free. This is the process if you come here for the first time:- 1) Buy a notebook which is available at the canteen for ₹20. 2) Go to the reception (patient along with the escort) patient should bring a photocopy of your Aadhar card, if you are a foreigner then you need to bring your passport copy or a PIO card copy. They will give you a token number and escort needs to sign on the register. 3) Go to room number 23 and give the token number, they will enter your details and assign the doctor. 4) The patient's name is called out to go to the consultation room along with the escort where the Psychiatrist will examine the patient. 5) If the doctor prescribed medication then they will mention in the notebook which you bought from the canteen, you can collect the medicine for free from the pharmacy. ( note sometimes all medicines are not available in the phay). Now coming to the parking space there is ample parking space for cars and two wheelers. If you are coming here for the first time then be prepared that the whole process can take 3-4 hours. The best time to reach here is by morning 8:30am. If you feel hungry then you can have breakfast in the canteen and the prices are cheap. One plate of idly or bonda will cost ₹30, tea ₹10. The best thing which I had noticed here is that the doctor gives enough time during consultation to know the history of the patient. The not so good thing is that there is a long wait time from the time you register till you meet the Psychiatrist due to the number of patients.

I had visited for my friend who was addicted to drinking to treat here, by doctor consulting he will advise the treat ment keep in this de addiction center or by giving medicine , timings are 8am to 11am for doctor consultation.
